MASC

The Melbourne Architecture Student Club (MASC) brand mark has been designed to imbue play and forward thinking. The basic geometries create play between form and text, reflecting the students’ spirit of creative approach and desire to experiment.

The strong sharp forms demonstrate boldness and cutting edge, qualities found within the student body. The geometric letterforms also offer direct contrast Melbourne School of Design’s brand mark.

The logo uses two typefaces – Sinaloa and DIN – in its full configuration. The club’s full title must be incorporated in this configuration to assist in building brand recognition. The letters M, A, S and C uses Sinaloa, regular. This geometrical and bold typeface is complemented with the clear and simple Din, bold. The proportions and spacing of the complete logo have been carefully considered using the letter forms as the basis for the layout. The use of typefaces within the logo offers flexibility and ease in creating collateral graphic designs.

Kulin Nations (Melbourne, Australia)

I live and work on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to Wurundjeri Elders past, present, and emerging. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
