In this design studio, students employ future thinking to speculate Melbourne’s future food systems. Using a combination of Machine Learning software (MidJourney and ChatGPT), students synthesise and analyse spatial qualities of food-related architectures. Finally, students integrate their 1) past experience of food cultures and practices, 2) current experiences of architectural precedent studies, and 3) anticipated experience of futures food practices, to 4) propose food innovation hub for Melbourne.
